I stared at my plate with such disdain challenge, gazing at the magnitude of what I’m about to embattle. It’s been 18 minutes of subtle engagement with the palatables (spices) on my plate, now here’s the grand finale. This is the point where others say “am done” for me it’s “I just started” - what a climax -.
So I engaged this humongous meat bone (honestly it was), crushing, biting, scrapping, sucking, licking and crushing again –thinking only of the beauty of life in this embarrassing and satisfying process, (having an indurate expression ,I couldn’t even hear the hollering and chattering of kids around me, all was a tender mute)I continued what my mouth and teeth was good at doing – CRUSHING –
15 mins elapsed and my squinky face expressed VICTORY. ”What! Did you actually crush the bones?” my hostess expressed “or did you use something to crush the bones, how the heck did you do that?.....” on and on she went.
I actually didn’t know the magnitude of my damage until I humbly looked at my plate again,….the bone has been well crushed (victory).
“whatever you used, YOU REALLY MURDERED THAT BONE” said my host. I received that with a grand smile, a smile that lasted till the break of dawn – then a new thought kept running through my mind-
If my mouth was the murder weapon, I actually did a good job hiding it.i had the intents from my mind to crush the bone, and my mouth did just that.So now am challenged with reality, ” how do I use my mind and mouth for my living?”
The great book (bibile)says “in the mouth lays the power of life and death”.how many destinies have i crushed and marred.
“be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” my murder case stops with the renewal of my mind, no wonder the bible said “Do not be hasty to speak when in the presence of God”(not because you have bad breath or otherwise) ,put your mind in proper order so as to articulate your words to the intellectual God .
God loved the word so much that he called himself THE WORD (how about that)
In Gen 1,nothing respected the presence of God until he spoke “…let there be….” (I guess God was putting His mind in order before He spoke,ha,ha,ha,ha) immediately everything went into scurry and obeyed His words.
After crushing the bones and satisfying “myself” ,I had a sudden precipitation to clean my hands and mouth – we savour so much to satisfy ourselves thereafter we look for the shortest ways to quickly clean up the mess.(the hurts, confusion,lies etc)
Why don’t you shut it! when your words are not salted .president Obama recently gave state of the union address, a hair raising speech (can imagine how much bags of salt would have gone to preparing the speech LOL). I sure do have a endless list of people who just speak incoherently or dangerously.(only if words come out as animated stickers, we would learn to keep it down)
WORDS can only show how better or worse off you’ve become – make conscious effort to speak ESSENCE.
I kinda understand why he gave us all one mouth, two would have been greaaaaaat destruction (double bone crusher ha,ha,ha)
Seriously I lay this in your mind to start 2012, - make every effort to hide the murder weapon, speak only the things your mind has pre-meditated, what you speak either diminishes or magnifies your situation.In the while buy some gum to keep the murder weapon fresh.
